Let the dealer do it. It isn't a hard job for a good mechanic, but figuring it out for yourself might be a bit frustrating. |

I just did this about 2 months ago and it took about 1 hour total. The front plug you don't need a socket...just a wrench once you get the left side air scoop removed (as you are sitting on the bike). The rear one you need a universal joint between the plug socket and an extension and GO SLOW. I believe I removed the airbox base (black plastic base the air filter goes onto) to make it easier. It is a little frustrating but I was expecting it to be several hours...surprised it was only 1 hour from first unbolt to firing up the bike...next time should be faster having done it before. |

Don't waste your money on the Buell spark plugs, go with the NGK one's. "Ride it till it seizes" Ski |

Hell of a lot easier to get to them on these than my FZR. To do those you have to drain the cooling system and remove the radiator. Ohhhhhh, that's fun. |

The Iridiums are NGK KR8AI When I asked about them at O'Reillys they used the stock number#5477 and said they were a special order and would take about 2 weeks.. Kevin |

DCPR9EIX run great, no fouling, one heat range cooler for hard running. The only hard part about plug changes is getting the @#$^%#$ wires off. Best to just buy at least one new one. They are no joy to install either, but at least you won't tear the wire apart installing it. xbolt12 |
