I have a stock XB12S Lightning. It dyno'd 88.7hp and 72.8ft-lbs of torque at the rear wheel. What bike do you have to be producing more hp and torque? |

Happy Dyno!! What it does show is an increase in HP of about 7. |

That dyno is not happy compared to a number of other results I've seen. |

It does depend on the type of dynamometer though. A Superflow will report significantly lower results. My opinion is that the Dynojet results are accurate and the Superflow are low. |

cool dyno. shows a 7 horse increase by removing the exhaust flapper. and no torque hole evident. very nice, hows it run?? |

runs great, all i have is race kit with cut air box but i put the snorkel back in...runs way better like that for some reason....im gonna post this other dyno and let me tell you what you prob all gonna go crazy...same mods as above but i had a Screamin' Eagle Race Fueler on it and yes it DOES WORK but the race muffler just dont flow enough on top end and i lost a few hp and tq but picked up some bottom end, you might be ok if you used the stock ecm cuz the race does add some fuel. I dont know if anyone else has ever tryed this but i had a take off from work so i was like wtf wonder if it fits so i put it on.....

o yeah the CE light comes on with injector short to ground, just have to unhook it or live with it on. I took it off just cuz i did not need it that bad A/F was good |

So the overall gain is about 4HP at the top and bottom and about even in the middle... Sounds about right. I'm not a big fan of CE lights staying on though. Makes me feel like an idiot... |

86.9hp and 66lbft torque on a modded xb9.....would love the extra torque on the 12,think there might be a different crank and rod set going in there at some point |

What is a "Race Fueler"? I strongly disagree with your contention that the "race muffler just don't flow enough on top end." It certainly does flow enough on the top end as it supported very well the significantly higher HP run achieved without the "Race Fueler" and also the performance dropped off not just at the top end, but beginning at 4,800 rpm, certainly not "top end" by any stretch of the imagination. My suspicion would be that the performance dropped off because the mixture was way off or the intake was restricted. It certainly did not do so due to the race muffler. |

"cool dyno. shows a 7 horse increase by removing the exhaust flapper." Are you implying that the Buell race muffler is equivalent to the stock muffler with the valve removed? I doubt that very much. In fact I know that is not the case. If it were, performance would fail to improve anywhere and would diminish in the range where the valve being closed enhances engine performance. |

A Race Fueler is basicly the same as a TFI but it is for HD EFI The Fueler has six "pots" 1 low to mid fuel 2 mid to high fuel 3 high fuel 4 low to mid RPM fuel 5 mid to high RPM fuel 6 "accerator" pump 4,5 control what RPM the fuel comes on When i was doing the runs i had the air box off, i also had the A/F going, were the power drops off it was soooooo rich and i had the "high" pot at 0, and the mid not on much, and mid to high RPM pot at off, i should have put the stock ECM back on to see if that would of helped out. |

I definitely don't understand your comments wrt the muffler affecting top end then. Is HD using a Buell derived DDFI on the Sportsters now? If not, why would you expect the race fueler to work on a Buell ECM? I'm all cornfused! |
