I think the only thing you would accomplish with a stock 9 can is a dip in your torque curve. |

in what part of the curve though the top or botom i think the stock 9 can would creat more midrange wouldnt it???? |

Not to flame or anything, but don't you think if the stock 9 can was better than the stock 12 can, that Buell wouldn't have go through all the trouble of the flapper valve? I'm pretty sure the stock 12 can will out perform the 9 can in all rev ranges. |

Agreed Brian... I think there are VERY few ways to beat the stock 12 can everywhere (except noise emissions, but I could give a rip about those ). VERY few. |

the 9 doesnt have a torque dip with its own stock can, what makes you think that same can would induce a torque dip in a longer stroke motor with the same cam timing? the flap is for EPA noise compliance. |
