OK I'm making my plans for Bikeweek next month and I've just GOT to mount my mini dv camcorder to the tank of my XB9SX to get some good riding shots. I can't make up my mind to either drop about $300 or so on a professionally made one or rig something myself? (Not real comfortable with the second choice.)Has anyone out there done this with their XBs and if so what do recommend? any advice would be appreciated. |

Put on bar ends (nice addition anyway) and ditch the factory mirrors, and you then have a nice threaded boss in a perfect place for a camera mount. I'll do that for a GPS rig, if I don't slap it on the 9sx Crossbar. |

Reep I tried that, didn't work to well. Shook too much. Camcorder just sits on top of my tank bag now. |

our group uses a helmet mount. you can mount it on top of the helmet or in the front. just be warned at higher speeds if you turn your head your helmet tries to detach from your head. believe it or not in front of your helemet does not block any view if the camarea is small enough. and on top of the helmet makes nice wheelie shots. |

I am trying to get a patent for one right at this moment. I can't tell you any more info than that. When I do I will contact a sponser with the details and see if they would like to stock it. Should be a month or so for to finish. Sorry I just had shoulder surgery and I can't use my right arm very well. brupska |

Take a look at www.helmetcamera.com They have small durable cameras that can go on either the bike or the helmet. They hook up to a digital or analog camcorder (supplied by you)that you carry in a fanny pack. They claim it's submersible to 100' and can be driven over by a truck and still work. |

Thanks for all the links guys they went along way in my search. As for the helmet cam I've been eyeing that gadget for some time now and may give it a go. (I've got the perfect excuse to buy one now.)Hey Brupska if you want a beta-tester I'm your man. |

Right now I am trying to make a jig so I can make them the same every time. I want to test it out before I even let one go. I don't want any lawsuits or such. I can't afford to have one of those. Not that anyone on the board would do that. I just want to cover my you know what. As soon as I have something the board will know first. Sorry Bb13. |
