Couple of questions. I want to get a couple of stands for my XB. I tried to pull up the threads on the Pitbull, and they seem to be the favored purchase. However I was reading a 2003 post saying they had to be modified. Is that true...are different ones available now just for the XB? I have used jacks in the past, but never the stands...am ready to try them now. As for the sliders, I definitely want a set for the front and back. I am convinced it is a necessity. I see the rear, aluminum sliders with the groove in American Sport Bike. As I said, I have never worked with the stands, does the Pitbull fit into that groove or ? Do all sliders for the XBs have the little rod running through the axle? I guess you just screw them on real tight...use locktite maybe? Feedback on the stands and sliders please...Thanks guys. Don't always post, but I always read what everyone has to say. This board is a great source of info and support. Racin' the wind and chasin' the sun...Cyko Bob |

For stands you want the Pit Bull New Front stand and a #2 pin For the rear you want the rear wide version. The rear does not use spools so you can remove your rear wheel using them. For the sliders you can choose from the stealth or racer styles for the rear. The racer style has the groove cut in it but I feel it is mostly for looks. They come in black or plain alum. The stealth version is thinner and lees noticeable. The also come in black or plain alum. The fronts only come in the stealth model. I have all of these items in stock for you! |

Cyko. I love my Pitbull stands. Very sturdy, well built. Easy to work on ANYTHING! My bike is up on them now! Changed my muffler, done the oil, and they never got in the way. |

Daves = Give me a price for some protection, whatever you suggest to keep damage minimal if she falls, and those pitbull stands everybody is talking about. |

Me thinks DaveS is on vacation...or does the dealership take off on Mondays? I have already contacted DaveS about buying the stands and the sliders for my own use, and he has the Pitbulls and sliders in stock. Think about if you want alum or black for the sliders. |

The Pit Bulls are 250.20 for the set I have 10 sets in stock. For protection I'd go with the frame pucks 35.96 DarkHorseMoto front sliders 44.96 Rear sliders 44.96-62.96 depending on which style you go with. |

Thanks Dave...had not checked the board when I sent you an e-mail this morning about the shipping. For some of the smaller stuff, I don't mind paying a few extra bucks for Priority Mail. Items mailed that way generally get here in a week to 10 days...regular mail can take up to nearly a month sometimes. I figure it will be at least a month for the Pitbulls since they are larger. For the smaller stuff, if you are willing, you can probably just use the cardboard boxes available at the Post Office for Priority Mail; free to pick up, just fold and put the stuff inside of the box. Irregardless, thanks for all your help in ordering, getting stuff to me, and advise in getting stuff for my puppy. Bottom line...Thanks for your help and outstanding service... I am off to work now Cyko Bob |

You know I'll ask for you Dave. I'll see how much this paycheck is and I'll determine then what to buy. I'm really eyeballing the saddle bags right now though. I need some storage space. |

I know, I just throw that in because we have 4 Daves here and 2 of them actually work in the parts dept. Unlike me, the Dave in the sales dept that sells a lot of parts! |

Hi, I have pitbull stands for my XB9S. Check out the swing arm. Mark Kraus from Teddies Customs added this feature by set screwing the stand mounts to the lower swing arm. This used to be his bike. He also added the pro-taper handle bars too. http://www.teddiesinc.com/hotbikes/stafmark1.html http://blues.jpj.net/~jespo/jespo/2003_xb9s_custom/CIMG0148.JPG |
