I have used the searchage, but to no avail. I find tons of pics of the stearling and silvers of all shades, cromes, polished you name it. But I am curious in the understated look, and some added heat control, of the black coatings. I would just like to see a couple nice profile pictures of them on the bike, in black, 12S if possible, but any/either would be great guys!! Thanks a ton, as if they make the look, the wife is a go on the deal!! So help a brother-who-dont-get-much-without-a-fight out on this one, PLEASE!! Got to love tax time!! Bruce |

My bad for not clarifing, I meant on the bike. They do look nice on the floor, but I had thought once I had them done, they might work and LOOK better on the bike, then the floor!! HEY!! Can anyone photoshop the picture in my profile, and give the pipe a black treatment? LOL Bruce (Message edited by rr_eater on January 27, 2005) |

I meant by "just a pic", is that i dont own them and dont have any pics of them on a bike. But i forgot you guys dont read minds. Those pipes were done by jethot. Awesome stuff, I am getting mine done in a couple of weeks, in Blue. Can't wait. |

Okay... The pipes I had were Jet Coated on my M1. To be honest. I was not impressed. It could have just been the weather here in Hawaii, but over time the pipes started to have a dull flat white look to them, like I started waxing them and never got all the wax off. Just could have been a reaction to the salt air. I don't know. However, when they first were put on, they did look very nice. |

I believe Force Products are Jet Hoted. I could be wrong and again, it may have been the salt air. |

I don't want to violate any board policy so Blake you can delete this post is I am. Lpd22 if you go to the force products web page and look in their carbon fiber section. There is a XB with a black Jet Hot pipe. Look real close you can see that the pipe is kinda white in the section at which a OEM pipe would blue. My whole pipe was a little whiter than that. Also...look at the entire length of the pipe. Notice right at the curve there's like a shiny spot. Looks almost like oil dripped there. Well that what happens if something rubs or nicks your pipe. If you try to buff it out, it gets worst. In the beginning my pipe looked like Rageontheal's but over time began to look worst than the pipe that's on the Force Page. Maybe I'm just anal, but the one on the Force sight looks sun-bleached and washed out. |

Sorry to get off topic here, but that bike on the useforce website with the black pipe, it has a CF airbox cover with an amber decal on it. Where do you get those decals? All I can find is the raised stick-on letters, and the CF airbox covers I've seen don't have any kinda logos on them, they are just plain. Anyone know? |
