I was curious as to what components from the Sportster are shared with the XB. Is it basically the block (minus heads), etc. |

The '04 sporty only shared the cylinders as I recall. I'm not sure about the '05 sportster. |

I know the clutch packs work since I have one from Energy One MFG listed as a pack for the Sportster/Buell. Front brakeline from a Sporty will fit an XBS, but why you would buy it is beyond me since the HD partnumber carries a $70 pricetag and the Buell part number carries a $29 pricetag. |

Actually the cases are different, the engine mounting systems are very different. |

exhaust port gaskets are the same. the pinion shaft seal inside the timer cover is interchangeable. |
