Does anyone have any pics of their R tail section from above with both seats completely removed? I need to see how everything is routed through the sub frame. Thanks in advance. |

It's pretty easy, just a 3 dimensional jigsaw... Here... http://www.themuell.com/article.php?id=23 |

It appears that you cut a square notch out of your undertray to make room for the cables and hose. Is this due to the fact that the factory R model has those wires routed up front? Can anyone post a pic of their factory R model tail section with the seats removed? I've search the archives and couldn't find anything. |

'Where/how did you guys mount your rear brake reservoir?' Mine is mounted so you can see it through the side cutout in the R plastic... That meant I didn't have to use longer brake hose... It also means not having to remove the seat to check your level... Yes, I am truely lazy. 'It appears that you cut a square notch out of your undertray to make room for the cables and hose. Is this due to the fact that the factory R model has those wires routed up front?' Yeah, I made a cemi-circular cut in mine, to more closely follow the profile of the cables. It's nice and snug. |

Does the factory R come with any sort of metal battery tray, or any types of other braces that may be located within the rear sub frame? |

You will need to make a bracket to hold the brake resvoir in place. I will try to take picture of what i did for you. I used a piece of plumbers metal strapping (holes pre-drilled) cut to size and bent using using a vise to the angle needed to hold the resevoir in place. I then painted it black. used a an existing bolt on the frame to hold it in place. Yup, had to make cut to route the cables. You will need to Extend your rear turn signal wires and taillight wires. also pay close attention to the bank angle sensor. it needs to be placed with the words "UP" facing UP... In my Pictures I tried placing the ECM on top of the battery,, ( made braket to hold the strap for that too) it did NOT work on top of the battery for me. So I placed it on the side of the battery. Used Lots of velcro and zip ties to hold everything place. |

Ok, I just went and had a look at Tims pics again... If his cutout for the cables is rectangular and in the top of that part of the undertray, mine is semi-circular and in the side of that part of the tray. I cut off the stock brake res mount point so my cables would pass through there unrestricted... I also figured out how to mount the ECM on the battery... |

Tsmith that is a sweet job and great pics of your conversion. I am getting ready to do the same to my 12S. I say getting ready but I am stationed in korea until Aug and my bike is sitting in a storage unit til then. My one question is do you have a list of the parts you had to order? |
