I'm thinkin I might be interested. I'm not sure though. I probably would have bought the cityx in black if it was available like that. What kinda shape is your plastic in? |

Whistle, The airbox cover is mildly scuffed from bike jacket and the wind screen is free from scratches. Overall, they are in good condition. If you want to do the exchange, we can do it via shipping. Email me if you are serious. Thanks |

I hope this trade works out for you both. I tried this with another guy here on the badweb. I sent him my double-bubble and he never sent me the stock amber one like he said he would. I hope your enjoying that windscreen.... |

I sent a personal message to Johnk3, I suggest we take it offline (not ignore it, just try and resolve it privately first). So lets let it drop here for the time being. Good reminder though to make sure you can trust people you deal with. |

I may be interested in trading my black air box cover for a clear blue one... Only have one tiny scuff on mine, I even polished it. |

I would but I plan on putting some lights inside the cover to shine on the air filter... |

Bruce I'm down for it. The CityX in black was what I wanted anyway. I was thinking about posting up but didn't figure anyone would want to trade. Wheelsleaning-Since Letzfoto offered first I'm going to see if things work out with him. If not, you're next in line. Cool? Cataract2-I was thinking of doing the same thing but an all black bike with black wheels and everything??? Too cool...I've always liked the look of the HD night train...this would be like a Buell City X Night Edition or something... HA! Hmmm...See through black would NIFTY! Then put some black light LED's under there?!?!?!?! ride safe, Nick |

Cataract, I've tried the lights on the air fiter. Rev 1 was super bright LED's. The filter is only visible when it is pitch black out. Next I tried short neon tubes, you can see the tubes through the cover, but not the filter. Next I tried license plate lights. Still not enough to see the filter except when it is dark. I even tried an ultraviolet LED (black light) on the thing to see what would happen. It did not seem much different then the super bright LED's. It will take a LOT of light in there to really make that filter visible. Not sure what would happen if you "highlighted" the outlines of the race filter with UV florescent paint, that may be worth a try. |

Be careful with UV LED's some can burn your retina. I am making a radar flasher for my Escort detector and was curious about LED and milli-candela. Some of the newer LED's are rated up to 10000 which is quite bright. I also noticed some have warnings about looking directly into the light, so I did a Yahoo search and came upon a Professor's summary of different LEDs. All the ones in the UV range were dangerous to the eye as I recall. This included a range of neon type colors also. My suggestion is do some brief research. I know in my field (Fibre Channel storage on fiber optic media) you have to be very careful because while shortwave (850 nm) laser signals are within the visible spectrum and are not harmful to your eyes, the same is not true for 1300nm wavelength lasers, which are not visible but can severely damage your retinas. I believe the lasers are all using LED's as the source now. xbolt12 |

Looks good U4euh. We'll do some night rides when it warms up. Wanted to ride today, but was totally wiped out. Ran 22 miles yesterday, whew. I'm ready to run this marathon so I can get back to a more reasonable schedule. Talk to ya soon. Mike. |

Daym. That big X is right where I don't want it to be. Can It be removed without exposing the air box? |
