Oh man, I just wrecked my xb12r like 40 minutes ago. I laid it down on the left side and am looking for replacement parts. Anyone have the pricing on how much it would cost me to replace these parts: Windshield, Front Fairing, Brake handle, Shifter, Undertail, Handle Bar Ends, and Rear Fairing. Also when I upshift it won't go back into the 'normal' position like it stays upshifted. Do you know what it could mean? Thanks Guys P.S. Frame Sliders saved the frame and the majority of the bike. Recommend it. |

Glad its one you could ride away from. Look to see if the shift lever is bent far enough in that its catching on the case. From experience, if you have broke the fairing and windscreen, I would also suspect you have broken the fairing support. Or have you mearly scratched them up real good? |

I'm very glad that you're ok. I've found that bikes can be quicker and easier to fix than bodies. |

Joe: Glad you survived, parts are plentiful. DaveS is at the winter dealer meeting. But, go to your parts book (if you don't have one you NEED to get one so you can carry on an intelligent conversation during the parts buying you will be doing), get the part numbers and e-mail them to DaveS. He can get you pricing pronto and delivery on Buell parts is running in days, not weeks. Court |

Glad you are ok! I am out of the office but to not stop the flow of Buell parts I have a system in place! Email me what you need, questions etc and I will get you the info you need. I have internet in my hotel room. When we have it all ironed out with what you need I can have you call me(I brought order forms with me) and get your parts on their way! Joe...Sorry to learn of your Whoops and am glad to hear you are alright. The good news is you are about to enter a new level in the "Buell Zone." Quite simply, that is where you learn how readily available, easy to install and inexpensive replacement OEM parts are for your Buell. I was elated when I learned this. Especially, after having to go through the drill with Kawasaki, Yamaha and Suzuki. Dave and the Guys will have you up and running in no time at all. |

Glad your okay mate. Keep your eye on e-bay. I'm sure you'll get the parts from there. If not buy new. Norrie. |

Your shift problem may be due to a return spring on the selector mechanism inside the primary side cover getting dislodged when the shift lever grounded or snapped off...this happens take it from me I know. It's not a big deal but the primary side cover will have to come off - don't ride it or you'll damage the gearbox - glad your OK and the bike doesn't sound too bad. |

I'm very glad that you're ok. I've found that bikes can be quicker and easier to fix than bodies. Not if they have ASI - American Service Insurance! Pray to the god of your choice you don't get hit by one of their customers... |

Lou! You sly dog! Your comment "I've found that bikes can be quicker and easier to fix than bodies" is a bit of an understatement! For those of you that don't know Lou, he speaks from VAST experience. Damon, glad to hear it was just the metal and plastic bits, not the flesh and blood variety. Brad |

There is a bike on ebay being parted out. It is a XBS, but levers and mech. things should work. It is a scary filling to see those words starting off a thread, glad to hear it is just the bike(& I am sure a little bit of pride)You'll be up in no time! |

Thanks Guys, I will be picking up the service manual and parts catalog tomorrow. I was wearing full gear, so I really didn't get injured or anything just a few scrapes. Dave- I will contact you in a few days to order the parts, once I have sorted out exactly what I need. Keith- No I didn't have any swingarm sliders, but it looks like the passengers pegs kept the swingarm from grinding. |

I have an undertail, blinkers front and back, amber windscreen if you would like to think about going used instead of new. |
