My buddy came up with the greatest idea for the MotoGP trip from San Diego. Simply box up all the clothes and ship them to Monterey-then ride unburdened on the twisties all the way up. Then ship the dirty clothes home. Not a bad idea for a one day ride to somewhere you will stay for a few days! (Of course I will be wearing some) xbolt12 |

Not a bad idea. I'm almost thinking of pulling the scoot on a trailer, so I can get my sleeping bag and tent. Or sleep in the truck if there is no room. Though I would love to drive the scoot all the way there. |

I also have the tank bag from Buell and love it, the only problem I have found is that the straps are mounted to the airbox fasteners and the strap itself is not beefy enough so I did a little renforcement with a little stiching and a peice of 1 inch wide nylon strap then took and burned a hole through it to make sure the threads melted with the old strap ,no more problems. |

Dave, Is there any chance we could see what the new bags look like? I checked out the Buell website and there aren't any updates yet... Also why is the new tank bag less expensive? Is it smaller? Does it have a map pocket? And how long will it be until they are available? Thanks for the help Dave! Nick |

The bags will be here soon. They seem as good or better quality than before. The old tankbag is a little bit bigger so if you want a big tank bag you better order one now before they are sold out. The new one does have a map pocket. I will see what I can do about getting some pictures. |

The new tank bag looks like it would work better on the Firebolt than the old model- it slants forward more. The saddlebags look like they actually have some usable capacity as well. xbolt12 |

But I think I like the old tank bag more...When I travel I pretty much want the biggest bags I can find! Are they discontinuing the old tank bag? I need to call you up... THANKS Dave! Nick |
