Did I read somewhere in this site that you can actually jack up the xb under the stock muffler? My dealer didn't seem to know. |

I also read that here. Is it still possible with the Buell race muffler? If so, has anyone done it that can tell me how in case I need to? Thanks! |

From what DAVE has said to me.. Both the Stock & Race Exhaust. And the D+D can retain jacking under the Exhaust System. |

Is the race can ceramic coated? Which can's the lightest? |

since the drummer comes from the stock can.. it can be jacked as well. |

Yep...stock, race, and drummer can all be used with a jack to lift up the bike...just make sure you tie it good to the side to keep the bike stable...I put the rear wheel up and then jack up the front to make a triangle type base that is fairly stable. In this picture the front wheel is about 2" off the ground.

If you look at the bottom of the stock XB muffler, "JACKING POINT" is stamped on it. I noticed it the last time the bike was "resting" on its' side. |

Which can's the lightest? Between the Drummer, the Stock, and the Buell Race, the Buell Race is lightest. |

Glitch, I have to disagree with you on this one. I weighed them all and found the Drummer to be the lightest by about a pound. This is on a 9 muffler. |

Jersey; would you happen to have a profile drawing and some measurements for those jack "brackets"? Thanks Henrik (I could of course just dig out the cardboard and scissors and get to work ) |

I have to disagree with you on this one. I forgot one thing. The Buell pipe I had to compare with, was the 1st Buell Rust Race pipe they came out with. Also another thing I just now thought of, the Drummer was one with the "fatlet", so there you have it. We're both right. Did you ever stop to think...and forget to start again? |

Jersey; not sure I could open .dwg, but .pdf would work fine. Thanks Henrik |

Henrik - Sent you a PM Glitch - Give or take a pound doesn't matter much anyway. I probably gained 10 over the holidays ....... |

I made the same thing Lovematt did except I just cut "V-s" in the wood instead of the shape of the pipe. Much faster and holds just fine. Usually don't even strap mine down depending on what I'm doing.......Odie |

I no longer need the pattern I made a set when I got home from work! Had to have my wife help me get it on the jack though. Made a ramp to get it high enough to clear, but couldn't hold the bike and roll the jack under it. Is it a one man operation for you guys? g u s |

I put two pieces of 2"x6" in front of both tires and roll onto them. Then I slide my jack with wooden mount under the pipe. Usually have to fanagle the wooden piece somewhat to get it under just perfect but then I just pump up the stand with one foot and I'm done. Odie |

Sorry guys, I forgot to email the drawing home so I could distribute it today. It may have to wait until Monday, my bad. I originally had a lower connecting plate as well but it was too cumbersome to shove the whole thing between the jack and muffler so I eliminated it. I don't need straps to hold the bike either but its so simple to do and the downside so catastrophic, that I always use them. Kind of like pulling the oil drain plug with your car on a jack instead of jack stands. |

Jerseyguy... I (we) asked a favor... my feelings are two fold. Anything worth having is worth waiting for... and there is no need to apologize when I asked you to take the time to do a favor. When ever you can get to it is fine with me. Thanks!!!!!! |
