Glitch...love the picture of the sunset (or sunrise). Where was that taken? I am also a photo buff...
That's a sunset, taken last weekend somewhere in North Georgia (we were kinda lost), I'm pretty new to photography, so I have about 1 good picture for every 10 or so, most by mistake!
I was led to this site by TBSstunta ...

Thats a good start. When you get *really* good, you will be getting something like 1 good picture in 25.
Before I went digital, 3 keepers out of a 36 exposure role was a good day. Thats why professionals had such a huge advantage over everyone else, shoot tons of pictures, just develop the film, and only print the 4 good shots on every roll, and throw one of those away. Much cheaper to get high volume. Between bulk loading film and doing my own processing, it was dirt cheap (not that I was a pro, but I was a pretty serious amateur).
With digital, everyone can do that now, and even cheaper. Shoot TONS of shots, as many as you can get, and plan on throwing most of them away, and put a lot of work into the keepers (fix exposure, color balance, crop, etc. Photoshop elements does a good job for the money).
Trading in a darkroom full of equipment for a digital Nikon and a laptop was the single best thing that ever happened to my photography. |

If it weren't for Photoshop I'd be lost! But most every one knows that by now.
The main trouble I'm having (I think) is exposer.
I kept messing with the setting ruining some very good shots. Until yesterday, I thought to myself maybe I ought to just reset everything! That worked out good, now where is that manual?
There's a class on digital photography and Photoshop this semester. |

I believe it's at Gwinett Tech, it's only about $50 or so. One night a week for four weeks. I have the info at home, I'll let you know all about it after I get home tonight. I'm sure it's just going to cover the basics, but I'm sure the photo part will help me out a lot. |

sorry for the delay and thanks for the welcome!
i've only posted a few times since i bought my first bike in August ('03 9r), but i cruise the sight daily. The amount of info i've learned from this site is invaluable and i wish to thank all who make this site what it is...
i'm currently suffering withdrawals from riding cuz i'm waiting on some parts to come in and the weather here in Texas has been good. Just got my wheels back from the powdercoating shop and waiting to get new M1s mounted, then install the Jardine thats been sitting in the garage. After that, nothing but miles of smiles....

hello, same story....been here a few months...made a few posts...but most of all, i really appreciate all the tech help, advice and grassroots innovation...
i'm 33 and live in south bend, indiana...currently we are 50 degrees and the snow is melting rapidly...10 degs forecast for friday...welcome to indiana...i've 2400miles on my '03 9r that was purchased just before halloween...if i'm very lucky...i may be able to put more miles on this winter if we have some nice days or by traveling south...we'll see what happens...
...i plan some mods with supporting dyno runs spaced throughout...here's the list...
