Has Anyone used these guys? http://www.morsefiberglass.com/

I'm considering using them to paint my XB plastics since I switched the rear to the R from the S.

Does the price Quoted sound fair for ALL the plastics on an XB. I ask as I have never had this type of work done.
"I can prep, paint, and polish all the parts you requested for $650.00. We paint
the inside of all the panels black prior to spraying the color. All parts will
be prepped with 2 coats of PPG sealer, then 3 coats of PPG Deltron base color
(XXXXXXXX color is a secret), and then 3 coats of PPG Deltron clear. Once dry, all the
parts are buffed and polished to a high shine.

All work is guaranteed against flaws in craftsmanship.

Shipping is not included."

Will that ppg paint system work with the Dupont Surlyn plastic? I'm sticking with the Dupont ChromaBase for my bike. That is the system Dupont recommends, since the plastic flexes. If they say it will work, then go for it. For all the paint, primer, plastic cleaner(Prep), reducer, activators and clear it's about $330.00 for the materials. That's with getting extra paint for anything I want to match. So for all that labor, that's a good price to me!

Sorry, I'm keeping the paint color a secret until it's done.

Thanks for the info everyone. I'm asking them if they can use the ChromaBase. I have seen a few bikes on here that have been painted with the ChromaBase. I have never had work like this done, not even a car, so I know NOTHING about paint. I figured I could e-mail this company and ask my stupid questions and not have to look physically stupid in front of someone. Then bring their answer back to this forum to make sure I wasnt getting screwed.

they are both good paint. pretty much brand preference I think..
I used to sell dupont, I like it..
I think I spent 300 on materials, but I have extra cause I knew I'd use it. (clear, basemaker, etc.)

Here is the comment from Morse when I asked about PPG compared to Chromabase.

"I have used PPG exclusively for years on at least 6 Ducati motorcycles, and
never had an issue. I use the same system on our fiberglass race bodywork, and
it flexes like crazy (far more than street plastic). I know that it will be
fine. With us you have a guarentee against peeling or anything like that."

Sounds like a deal to me! Go for it. Dupont isn't the only paint company that has paint designed for flexing parts. Imagine every bumper cover on every car these days!

I didnt expect anything. And I read my business e-mail through out the weekends, and how was I to know that it was business e-mail and not a personal e-mail. And it is NOW Monday, and I still have NO response. So now I dont really expect anything. But It would be nice to hear what he would charge. And for the Record Morse responded to my ?'s during the weekend.
