Author Message   New12r Posted on Wednesday, January 05, 2005 - 07:05 am:        I just started the Buell, now it was odd the bike would not fire, but upon the second go I got a backfire that sounded like a gunshot and about 8" flames out both exhaust ports, coolest thing I have seen yet. I have had that happen before but could not see flames, I thought my boot may catch on fire. Anyway the bike is running and I must go to work, thought I would share my flames story. Has this happened to anyone else? I know my tps needs reset.   Glitch Posted on Wednesday, January 05, 2005 - 07:50 am:        Timing? Did you give it gas when you tried to start it? I had the flames happen to me when the battery was just strong enough to turn over the bike but not fire the ECM correctly. Be careful it will cause you plug problems if it keeps happening.   New12r Posted on Wednesday, January 05, 2005 - 03:58 pm:        No throttle, just seemed a little odd. About 60 or so. I hung out with New12r last night for a while and totally forgot to ask about this. I guess we were all too excited about Shred's new XB12R.
