I'm looking for a Buell friendly HD dealer to get my TPS reset. I had a bad experience with the dealer I bought my bike from and I'm looking for any suggestions. |

I have heard that Edison HD/Buell is a good Buell dealer, although I haven't been there myself yet. Their website is: http://www.harleyofedison.com/ |

The last time I spent any time there, Edison was getting high marks from some of the locals. Henrik (I stand ready to be corrected) had a "poor" experience with them once that was so bad as to be laughable. Soemthing like they thought they had to change the oil to get to the turn signal bulb. I'm going to need service soon and am eager to hear from some of the locals. I mean, I have no problem riding a bit (I'd prefer to go under 1,000 miles) to get good service, but what the heck. Court |

yeah thats the dealer I had some trouble with. I bought my bike in for the 1000 check and the next day when I picked it up it stalled out and wouldnt run again. This was less then a 1/4 mile from the dealer. They made me wait a week cause they said the EMC went "bad". Then after waiting a week they called me and said it wasnt the ECM and that it had something todo with the new blinkers I installed. They told me who ever installed the blinkers unwired some of the harness and caused a short in the electrical system. I installed the blinkers my self and did nothing of the sort. After all that they charged me 150 for their time. The blinkers were installed on the bike with less then 500 miles on it and it had 1390 when i brought it in so I seriously doubt it was the blinkers. So I'm a lil worried about goin back for anything electrical. If anyone else has had a good experience let me know and maybe I'll think about tryin them again. By the way everyone was real nice and profesiional but I just feel like i paid for a mistake they made. |

If you can manage to leave the splendor of NJ behind, Buells take preference on my lift. Call ahead of time, though, as my schedule keeps changing (570 992 7500). TPS/AFV reset takes 20 minutes total while you get a cup of coffee. While I think of it, it's critical to get the ignition timing spot on with the XBs as that controls both the spark and the fuel delivery. (Message edited by SteveFord on January 04, 2005) |

There is a tech there named Phil that seems to work miracles with Buells. He also rides an XB himself. |

Court; you're pretty close to the unfortunate truth of my experience. But it's a long time ago, and things could have changed since then. I'd head out to Steve. Henrik |

>>>I'd head out to Steve. Roger that. Bike is in ___________ \(I'll bet you can fill the blank in) mode at present due to weather.

If that is a short chunk of electrical wiring on the floor there next to the milkcrate I think you might be doing a little overkill on adding heated clothing connectors to the x under the sheets. I don't think the Buell stator puts out quite that much voltage. |

Bio, you can try William's HD in Lebanon. I go there for my services on my Buell and my Road King. Ask for Al in service and tell him Rob sent you. They have 2 mechanics there that are Buell certified. |
