What do you find so "incredible" about that video, that the fool on the bike is still alive? Yeah, that would be incredible. |

I agree with Blake, whats the big deal? Some mild sweepers & the guy cant even come close to staying in his own lane. |

That's kilometers per hour on his speedo. He's somewhere in Europe. |

"I agree with Blake, whats the big deal? Some mild sweepers & the guy cant even come close to staying in his own lane." At 180 mph getting a bike to turn is near impossible. |

Blake, Did you hear the desmodeicci on "faster"? Isn't it amazing? And I agree, Mccoy was always the most entertaining, allthough what valentino does when he wants to win is unbelievable! Can't wait to see them at Laguna! |

At 180 mph getting a bike to turn is near impossible. Never came close to 180. Top speed in kilos was 299 which is 185 mph & when you subtract the 10% speedo error allowance you get 167 actual. Most of the sweepers were run between 180-240-kilos which is 111-149 mph or when subtracting the 10% speedo error you get 100-134 mph. Hardly anything all that difficult. |

Getting a bike to turn at 167 mph is near impossible. Getting a bike to turn at 130 mph is darn difficult. If you think otherwise, you've not tried to maneuver a bike at that speed. I have. It is not easy; it is freakishly difficult especially if you are not used to it. Your first impression is that the steering head is seized. |

Many more psycho videos at uponone. A guy on a 1000RR pegged going down the freeway in the middle of the night until the gas light came on. I would just hope people would be responsible enough to do it when nobody is around. Really scary to be a car and have something zip by you like that. |

Blake...You forgot to mention the "Dirty Diaper Syndrome" that comes to play at those speeds when anything but the most gentle sweeper comes your way. Has a lot to do with how many seconds per mile your tires actually have a decent contact patch to overcome the gyroscopic force. Also explains the big boys tendencies of massive scrubbing of speed, backing in and jetting out of the turns. No wonder track tires don't last long. LOL |

to add to Newxb9er's post... you guys have seen the Ghostrider videos, right? in particular the Stockholm to Uppsala run? talk about pegging the throttle! his stuff kinda gets boring to me after a few min. and obviously its not good for our sport in the grand scheme but portions are entertaining and speed is definitely thrilling. Love the all-black, stealth bit. heh. If you haven't seen any of his movies, check the new site here: GhostriderMoview.net |

It's not a "bad" video exactly... For christmas I got the "Duke" IOM TT '04 review. Neener Neener Neener . |
