I called a Dealer today to get the price on a race kit for a 03 xb9s. When they transfered me to the service dept to get me a price on resetting the tps, they told me not to buy the ECM cause the bike runs better with the stock one. Any truth to this? | ||

Sounds like they don't want to work on a Buell, or they screwed up the last one they did and weren't smart enough to make it run right. It's always easier to blame a bike than decide you aren't intelligent. | ||

I'm actually a tech for Liberty Harley-Buell in Rahway. I own an 05 XB9SX as one of my bikes and I say go for the race kit. I have done several and they all run great with the ECM. | ||

I'm going to be looking for someone to do service on a 2005 XB9SX soon, let me know what your experience is. I pass Liberty at least once a week headed to Colonia Country Club. Charlie.. I think the plane your thinking of (if it's the one I'm thinking you're thinking of) isn't black. And only runs with no lights under 'special' circumstances. Otherwise it's just like any other commercial plane ... sort of.. Nuff Said.. Later, | ||

Robxb, No edison didnt tell me about the ECM. I bought my bike there and they seem to be pretty good guys. I got that info from the dealer in Long Branch. | ||

Yea, that be the plane... Threw the excess in for emphasis. I did once have a black C-130 with no lights land on my closed airfield once. Went to the end of the runway then, after some time, took off again. I always thought it was a little strange... |
