Does anyone actually use that little cable that comes with your bike to lock up your helmet? Are there better options out there? |

There are units that bolt to your license plate bracket and have a means to lick two helmets. I have one on my BMW and one my XB. Check out www.ascycles.com do a search on their site for Helmet Lock Helmet Guardian It is 42.80 plus shipping. I have ordered from A&S before and they are reliable. |

12bolt, I went to the local hardware shop and bought metal mirror hangers and self tapping screws total cost less then $2.00, put one on each side and it works great for me. If you have any questions you can PM me. It looks like this: SAR |

Looks like a great idea. You think they would hold up to someone yankin on your helmet? |

12bolt...a while back, after seeing Sardawg2dpd's idea, I recreated it on my bike...it costs next to nothing, takes very little time and effort and works great! A very simple and effective solution. thanks again Sardawg. |

I can't say enough good things about this product. www.barender.com They do double duty as helmet lock, and anti-vibration bar ends because they are pretty much solid stainless and heavy. We put them on my wife's Blast, but I am going to try them on my XB12R soon. They look good too. (Message edited by JohnnyLunchBox on December 20, 2004) |

I would like that barender thing, but I would have to cut my grips. I don't even know where the stock one is? |

I didn't really care for the look of the barender. I think I will give Sardawg2dpd's idea a shot. |
