Maybe a silly question but I am getting read to take the rear wheel off for my winter projects. I have to go by a hex head to fit the axle. My question is what size is the axle so I don't get the wrong one. Thanxs for the help. SAR |

You don't have the axle removal tool in your tool kit? |

The most important tool besides a 7/8" hex head wrench, is the Shop manual. Curiously enough, our own Daves whose post is just above mine can supply the manuals as well as the axle removal tool, (a little piece of hex with a circlip in the middle that is supposed to be in the underseat tool kit). Seriously, if the correct procedure is not followed, damage may accrue to the belt and/or swing arm. (Message edited by gentleman_jon on December 18, 2004) |

Jon is right Sar, you have to remove the wheel and belt "by the book" I'm leaving pretty quick but will be back on Tuesday about 10 am if you need anything. Or post here or email me, I check those even when I'm off work. |
