Hi, i'm looking for some clarification before i do my 1st attempt at a tps reset for a 2004 xb9. The directions are clear until ecmdroid says: "Press the ok button. Open the throttle for 5-6* and set idle" Does that mean 5-6 degrees? or ? Is that so i can start the bike with the idle screw backed off ? Also does it matter if the motor is hot or cold? Thanks for any help experts ! Trev. |

directions are never that clear. once throttle is closed as in slammed closed , set o*. set tps. then use idle screw to set 5-6*. fire bike up, see what idle is , bring to 1050 rpm or so. that is whatever your bike deems necessary for 1000 or 1050 rpm. degree doesnt matter at that point. after idle is set, see what degree is. some folks have good luck cold , some have good luck hot. anyway at hot , idle at 1050 or so is good. |
