I've noticed that a lot of profiles state an upgrade from an XB9 Air Box to a XB12 Air Box. Is there a difference? What's the difference? And is it worth upgrading my XB9s Air Box to a XB12 Air Box? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Brad. |

There is a "nipple" just above the velocity stack on the 12 airbox (and the '05 9SX airbox) that helps to direct airflow a little better. It's worth a few HP and is widely considered to be the best bang for your buck upgrade to an 03/04 984. |

Hey Don- I currently have a 2003 XB9s Buell. Do I need to upgrade both the interior airbox that houses the aircleaner and the Exterior to the XB12s Air Box? |

Brad, Just the interior box. That is where the magic happens. It's good for 3-4 hp for only $30-35. Your existing outer box is the same for all XB models. Rich |

"There is a "nipple" just above the velocity stack on the 12 airbox" M1 does that come with the 12 airbox or is it an actually part of the airbox? |

It's molded into the 12 airbox. |

It is molded into the inner airbox on all the 05 models (i.e. 9sx), and was on the 04 XB12 models. |
