Rescued an 03 Lightning that had been stored outside and the (mechanic) owner snapped the banjo stud on the fuel pump base plate. Seeing that there isn't a replacement (that Im aware of) can an 08 pump assembly work? I see that the connectors are different but I don't see why a wiring diagram and new connectors wouldn't work. Any ideas or anyone done this? |

Skip is getting you a great deal, not to take away form that but I wonder if a hydraulic parts supply shop could probably find a banjo bolt for you. Hose products, hose supply, that sorta thing. |

Was thinking about that. Once I get this thing up and running I think I'll look into it a little deeper. Skip definitely saved the day. |

Its not really a banjo bolt, but a banjo stud (the fuel line goes on it and is held in place with a nut). I had the same problem last summer and replaced the plate. The issue you'll run into with replacing the stud is that, to my knowledge there doesn't seem to be a easy way to press it out. To press it in, sure, easy...if you actually look at it, you'll see what I mean. |

Hammer or Mike Ill take the damaged plate I am trying to reassemble a basket case and there is no plate so to fix it I’ll tine sert the plate and use a pipe nipple so I can add a schrader valve to check fuel pressure in the future. If it works……so the damaged one would be better to experiment on. Cvcorcoran@icloud.com of text/call 3606010597. (Message edited by Cvc on January 10, 2022) |
