i took apart my airbox today and removed the snorkel. when it was apart i noticed there was a good amount of gas around the filter. it sat overnight so i dont know how much was in there when i parked it yesterday. were not talking about a puddle but it is wet to the touch this afternoon. if you were sitting on the bike its mainly on the right side of the filter. whats the deal? |

Are you sure it is not oil? Fuel would have evaporated pretty quickly, even in the airbox. Bruce |

That is oil residue. It comes from the breather into the airbox. The amount is miniscule, but it wicks across the plastic so it is visually noticeable. Don't worry about it at all. The XB's have the least breather carryover of any of the H-D Inc. powertrains, and it will not even show in your oil consumption. All engines with breathers do this to some extent. |
