I recently had a local Cycle Gear store install tires on my wheels, this was the 1st tire change ever on this bike and the wheels were immaculate. When I picked up the wheels/tires not only was the rear tire mounted backwards but BOTH rims were gouged around 1/2 the circumference of the wheel on one side (and touched up with gloss black paint). Long story, but I am working with regional manager on correcting the issue, I have found wheels on line at St Pauls, but on line at least, they do not have the same color front and rear wheels. Other than buying two different colors and having them powder coated, does anyone have any suggestions?

That's why I replace my motorcycle tires by myself, there is almost 100% chance the shop mechanic will scratch or damage the rims, at least a little, even the most experienced mechanic.

not sure of the alloy quality in the later wheels but the early rims could be pollished to a mirror finish the would last years without much maintenance. Maybe having them pay to have them pollished around the lip would be a better outcome.
