We seem to be getting more and more new members? Not that I think this is a bad thing, it's not. Just noticing a lot of repeat questions about our chosen brand of addiction. Not a bad thing either. I think it's great that more and more people are getting turned on to Buells. So, to all you people out there that are new to the BadWeb, Welcome. Tell your friends how great your Buell is. Persuade the masses. Rich |

The XB9SX and drop in MSRP attracted a new crowd maybe? I know that's why I'm here. |

TONS of new members....may be time for another history lesson. The new folks are fabulous and fitting testimony that the XB, in the marketplace, is doing precisely what Buell had intended. If was fun when there were about 6 of us Buell owners in the world....it's much MORE fun and exciting now. On behalf of all the good folks within the world of Buell....WELCOME. Court |

Cool with me. The more owners, the bigger the aftermarket will get. It's all good. Imagine the day when people wanting a Buell will have to get on a waiting list. Bob |

It'll happen Nedwreck (Nice avatar BTW ). I've been around a little more than a year. I noticed a bunch of new members right around this time last year, and right around April this year. I'm sure it's a cyclical thing (no pun intended). COURT - Post a history lesson to the Quick board and the XBoard... Or just a story... That would be cool too. SPEECH.... SPEECH.... SPEECH.... I bought a Blast in spring for my wife, and was really impressed by it. I have been wanting to add another bike to the stable. I already have a dual-sport, a sport-tourer, and an old UJM (Universal Japanese Motorcycle). I figured a sport bike was the next logical progression. I was planning on buying a Buell sometime within the next two years, but I came across a lightly used XB that I couldn't pass up, and the rest - as they say - is history. Only rode it twice so far, and now after yesterday the salt is on the roads, but I will certainly spread the word and hope for a mild winter, while harboring dreams of spring. |

I'm new around here, soon I'll be a proud new owner of a 12S. I come from dirt bikes, got bored of my repli-racer on the street and finally stumbled upon what Erik has created. I've never ridden a Buell (not too friendly out here in MA for test rides) but I know for a fact this bike will fit my riding style, design sense and the community surrounding these things is exactly what I'm looking for. I'll literally be foaming at the mouth all winter to ride this beast. To top off my hunt for a new XB, Dave goes and offers up his promotion which I'm a #4 taker of, what a great way to kick off my Buell experience. Damn. I'm already a fanatic and I don't even fully own one yet! Thanks for the welcome guys, you'll be seeing me around. |

When I bought my XB9SX my salesman (AL in Daytona) told me about this site. He even brought it up on his work computer while we waited for the credit guy to do my paperwork. I got home bookmarked it and I've visited every night since. Thanks Al. |

Lots of new members WITH VERY UNIMAGINATIVE names. How the hell are we supposed to remember names like 617XB12-9S? I give in. Is it that difficult to get a decent handle? Rocket |

I had never even seen a buell then over the summer while watching motogp on speed i saw a commercial and i was like wtf is that. I dismissed it and then a few weeks later i was watching corbins ride on the speed channel and it was all about the new lightning and firebolt. i was like Let me see what this buell thing is, and now after paying some bills and selling my zx6-r I decided that the buell was my next bike. Then a buell owner mentioned badweb and i read Daves promo and thats the end of it. Now ill have a xb9s waiting for me |

To top off my hunt for a new XB, Dave goes and offers up his promotion which I'm a #4 taker of, what a great way to kick off my Buell experience. What promo? What'd I miss? I've got the house sold, the new one bought and moved into, and have been talking on the phone to a few dealers while watching the snow build up...I'm ready, so if anyone knows of a good deal on a 9R lemme know!} |

You meant to post this link... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=32777&post=342998#POS T342998 Geoff, Give Dave a call, he's a great guy to talk to and can definitely hook you up with a new 9R. You'll notice that you have to pay MSRP, which other dealers may be selling a bit under that, but everything that comes with the promotion makes it very worthwhile. I can promise you it'll be a good time. Alex |

Hey thanks, guys! I'm seriously mulling it over--and I usually don't even get my bike on the road much before May around here ("here" being the mountains of south central British Columbia--just how far is that from Wisconsin?). Hmmm... |

Actually, not as far as I thought--1786.92 miles according to Mapquest. Whassat, 3-4 days on a new unfamiliar sportbike with luggage...sounds like fun! Gotta make up my mind by the end of the month...wonder if Dave can get Canadian spec bikes? |

Shazam, If the thread is opened on a page with the topics etc. tree on the left side, the link you grab is for that part of the page. The easiest way to post a link is to right click on the little link icon on a particular post and then select copy shortcut, then paste that into your post. Geoff, Spending a few days on the road isn't that big of a deal. I rode the entire continent this summer to raise money for the American Cancer Society and had no problems at all carrying all of my stuff or putting on miles. Granted, I had a lot of help from other badwebbers, but it's an adventure. |

Aw, no prob--when I said "Sounds like fun!" I was being serious, not facetious. However, I've investigated the ins/outs/ups/downs of importing a vehicle to Canada before, and it can be a real hassle--even with a new vehicle--and expensive to boot. As it is, I'll be buying from a dealer at least a day's ride away, since there aren't any closer (and I really hope I don't get a lemon!). |

I bought my XB9R when I went home on leave in August. Put 500+ miles on it in a week and took the MSF course in that time. I can't wait to get off of this crappy little island and get home to ride. |

The bad part is...Hardly any Buell riders in NY and almost all the H-D dealers are discontinuing the sale of Buells! Not so Pete there are quite a few riders from NY on this board, eg Court, and some good dealers in the area..try Woodstock HD/B in Kingston for a start , certainly up to two weeks ago they were sticking with Buell BTW I treat myself as an NYS rider as my bikes are all housed and mainly ridden in NYS. |

Hello all my name is John but you but you might know me as xb12scg05 or617xb12-9s. it just seemed like a good idea at the time.Anyway I have been lurking here for several months and have really enjoyed your post.Ihave learned a great deal which will aid in maintaining my motorcycle.Although I have been a loyal HD rider for some years I have never owned a Buell.Well I just want you guys to know that it has been like discovering motorcycles all over again and I can appreciate yourlovefor this motorcycle. The fact that it is powered by a made in america harley-davidson v-twin engine designed in 1957 and evolved to this wonderful power plant we have now.Put that with the awsome chassis that Eric Buell gave us and we have the perfect all round motorcycle. Yes the number of Buells are growing |

Well you have another new member. I returned from a year in Iraq back in April. Since I have been home I started looking for a bike. I have always liked Buells and when I went and sat on the XB12S, I knew it was the bike for me. Picked it up on Veterans Day. Its been a great stress reliever. |
