Looks like there are 4 seat options? Is this true? Can anyone comment on them from a rider and passenger standpoint? 1) New stock '05 Skyline seat (supermoto inspired, taller, flatter, not sure I like it) 2) Stock XB12S seat which is same as '04 XB9S seat (nice comfy little pocket for the ars) 3) Buell Streetfighter seat - what the heck is this and how does it differ from stock? http://www.buell.com/en_us/bikes_gear/accessories/productslist.asp?Menu_ID=4&ID= 1933&MITEM=77&bike_id=1 4) Corbin Gunfighter seat - looks like a passenger can't even sit on that lump in the back (but yet it looks to have way more padding for the passenger, so may actually be comfortable) http://www.corbin.com/buell/03lightninggun.shtml Please response with your experiences with 3 or 4 only - the other 2 are a given. Thanks! |

There is also the XB12Scg seat. Seat #1 seems to me to be the most comfy both for rider and passenger, if I had to pick second choice it would be #3. |

Hey Aldaytona, can you explain how #3 differs from #2 in your opinion? |

Sure, #3 has a longer dished out area than #2 so you can move around more and did I mention more padding? If you go by your local Buell dealership the parts lads would most likely let you sit on #3 so you can see for yourself. (not so good for a passenger most likely, depending on the SIZE of the passenger) |

I have the corbin and love it. I took off the pass pegs so riding 2 up is out for me. In a pinch you could ride someone back there it is comfortable enough but there isnt much room. The stock 12s seat was very uncomfortable for me, gave me a case of the numb arse in 30 minutes! I like that the corbin rides up high in the back seems I have more control when you get on the gas. I could ride all day and then some on the corbin. Seems to me if you are going to have a passenger I would go with the stock city seat or maybe the buell streetfighter. Hope this helps! Oh yea, if you call corbin and tell them you have concerns about the passenger seat. I think they will mod the seat to your specs. |

Just got off of the phone with my PASSENGER (wanted another opinion from the rear seat) and she rated the Buell seats as follows: XB9/12R #1 M-2 #2 XB9SX #3 S1W "you're kidding right?" Hope that helps. |
