Hello. I got a strange phenomenon today when driving my XB9S on the highway, i had been driving for about 80mph in 20 minutes when the engine suddenly misfired when i gave full throttle and the engine light flickered. I did press in the clutch and the engine reved nice. And when driving of the highway was everything ok. I know the plug wires rubber caps are cracked, can it be the reason? But i did only happen on the highway. 🤷🏼 I did check the system with ECMspy and did notice the AFV value had went from 115 to 135. The misfire did happen a few km from home so it might have gone high and not got back to normal value. 🤔 There was no fault codes. |

Sounds like skip spark mode was activated. That means the engine was getting too hot. The ECM will skip a firing event for the rear cylinder. My Ulysses would do this too, reducing speed will stop this routine. |

I see, to hot already after like 25km at 130km/h sound risky. Ok, i got out on the highway after a 15-20 min ride on smaller roads and it is was very hot outside today. Anything i can do to reduce this happening? It was just for like 30 sec and then it was normal again. |

Skip spark is normal to protect the engine from damage. Installing a large capacity right side air scoop will help the most. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WXtk7Nl56c Some of us here in U.S. have installed switches to run the fan at will. |
