My wife 5"2' need to lower a xb9s low even more is this possible i really need some advice so i can give her that bike and go buy me a new xb12r | ||

Check out the Short Bike FAQ at this link: http://www.nebcom.com/noemi/moto/sbl.faq.html I think the best advice on this link is that you don't HAVE to be able to flat-foot a bike to ride it, contrary to what a lot of people seem to think. I'll bet she can handle a stock XB9SL with no problem with a little practice. Good luck. | ||

Take the seat cover off of the seat base/pan and remove the padding/foam in the front half or reshape the whole seating area. Add gel pad to front section and reattach cover to pan and it will be lower. I have seen this done more than once with favorable results. Good luck. | ||

I'm looking at literally Zero Suspension Travel if thats the solution to lower your ride | ||

What is the static sag front and rear? If it's not already, max it out or more. Be careful to test handling before letting her rip down the road. | ||

You should be able to find/order a gel pad at any motorcycle shop or dealer, it's the in thing now for all the old, overweight "instant biker" crowd. When my brother glued one right up against the plastic seat pan and recovered it with the original cover it kinda felt like a _orbin, only lower. If you don't feel up to that any good upholstery shop can make your seat lower. |
