my cable isn’t routed correctly behind the chin fairing, it’s just outside in the breeze. i worked with it a little but it seems to end up with some harsh turns in it. can anyone post some close up pics of how it’s supposed to route down the front of the frame and behind the fairing? it almost looks like it would be most comfortable going through the home in the fairing but that’s probably not correct either. i have rtfm but the drawings seem pretty vague and the one image that i find only shows the top portion to the front tie bar. thanks! |

Evilphoton - Sorry, been meaning to do this for days...moving between houses. Fortunately, I have an XB at both locations. Cable routes to right side of engine, then sweeps back behind exhaust under chin fairing on the left side. Pics attached.

I will tell you, I'm not *positive* this is correct, now that I'm looking at it. There might need to be something preventing the cable from actually touching the right front fork. There is a clear decal to protect it, but its firmly pressed up against that clear, protective decal on the stanchion tube. Like another loop retainer that attches to the fairing stay at the headtube. (Message edited by skipbarberman on July 08, 2020) |

Service manual mentions about the P-clamp and has pictures. Read and follow service manual. |
