So I bought the map from Twin Motors to go with their Torque Hammer muffler. For Ecmdroid this is .xpr file. I downloaded it onto my little Acer pad but i can't open it and it does not give me an option to save it into ecmdroid. I have emailed Martin and Twin Motors but with the time difference etc. not sure when I'll hear back. Can anyone explain how this works so that a caveman can understand? |

The map you downloaded in your "download" file. How ever you tablet works, you need to get that file into ECMDroid for it to see it and be able to put it on your bike. That usually consists of opening a 'File Manager', choosing that file from 'Downloads', and then finding where ECMDroid is inside your computer, to place it there. There is a good tutorial on Buelltooth.com |

Thanks Shoggin. Tried that. I find the map in downloads but cannot do anything with it, the device gives no options to open or save. It's as if it needs some other program to be able to do anything with it. I have the Buelltooth tutorial. There seems to be something else going on (or more correctly, not going on that should be). |

Thanks mike. I did email but communications are slow because of the time difference so i hoped someone here might have a clue. Does the bike have to be connected to ecmdroid in order to save the map into ecmdroid? |

open ecmdroid, go to the eeprom section, then load your new file from twin, then burn the file to your ecm. Done. |

Chazagg: The problem is, he has downloaded the correct file, so it's sitting in the "Downloads" folder. but he hasn't moved the file INTO the ECMDroid program, so ECMDroid won't see it, and won't be able to load it. OP: " I find the map in downloads but cannot do anything with it, the device gives no options to open or save. It's as if it needs some other program to be able to do anything with it." This was a snag for me as well, when I first started messing with files... Press/ hold/drag/copy/paste?, whatever it takes man. It's your specific device and the how your specific device operates. Twin M/C won't know that. Once you figure out that procedure, it's EZ-PZ. There are tutorials on Buelltooth.com but they are also "specific" to the actual device they use. "File Manager" is the program you need to move file around in Android devices. If your device doesn't have it, you'll need to get it. It should be free on Google Play (Message edited by shoggin on April 28, 2020) |

Thanks Shoggin, that is exactly right and what happened. After about 2 hours on video conference with an IT savy friend and downloading a few different file manager programs into 2 different devices. and you are right, it was paint by numbers once i got that done. Also want to give a plug, shout out to Martin and Twin Motorcycles who supplied the map. Very supportive and sent me a map for a different ECM (long story about how i got into that mess) which worked OK |
