Hey Everyone, Finally finally I am a Buell owner. Today I bought a 2008 XB12S. I really felt the 2008 brought some strong reasons to the table and found what I thought was a good one After the two hour ride home I did notice some oil at the back of the rear cylinder so I am hoping it is not the rocker box issue. Having said that, I am sure there are projects I will need and want to do. Are there any Buell savvy folks in the Atlanta or Columbus area? I would love to get an opinion on my bike and it's possible issues. TLRracer |

It is not rocker box issue, is is rocker box gaskets issue or cylinder head gaskets issue. (Message edited by Tpehak on September 17, 2019) |

As long as no oil is "running" out of it, just keep it clean and drive it. My 12s weeps around both cylinders to case gasket. Has since I bought it. Every oil change, a squirt of brake cleaner and a wipe with a clean rag, and off we go. Almost 34,000 miles worth. I bought it at 2,8xx miles if that makes any difference. Mike |
