I was just wondering where everyone on the forum is from. How bout everyone list their name, where they're from, what bikes they have, and a list of mods. Mine is stock, but I work at a Cycle Gear chain store so that'll change soon. Walt Knight Greenville, SC Racing Red XB12R LSL frame sliders LSL foot pegs Frame pucks Progrips |

I am from Sag Harbor on the east end of Long Island and I ride a 2003 Yellow XB9S . Not too many Buells out here. Mods to my bike include: •Factory Race Kit. • XB 12 air box •Snorkle removed •Custom designed handlebar vibration dampers: 1/2" lead rod wrapped in 1/8" Sorbothane. •Birds Eye bar end mirror. •Remove all decals •Remove passenger pegs. •Buell Streetfighter seat. •Michelin Pilot Power tires. •Wheel bearing upgrade. •Frame pucks painted yellow to match bike. •Dip stick mod: yellow shrink tube to aid legibility. •Oil line protector: 1/2" heater hose placed on the stainless lines the connect the engine to the oil cooler. •" Cheese grater" removed and replaced with customized yellow tail piece. •Pachugo Chrome license plate holder •Litning Boltz to light plates •Side reflectors replaced with reflective tape. •Mini turn signals, clear lenses. Headlight brush guard. •Replaced rivets on timing cover, with chrome button head 10-32 allen screws. •Refinished timing cover to match engine. •Aluminum swing arm protective sliders. •Painted front of chin spoiler black. On my wish list is a seat cowl, a 2004 Drive Belt set up and an improvement to the headlights. (Message edited by gentleman_jon on November 12, 2004) |

Yeah I am a SC native. Since I bought my bike, I've seen maybe 5 buells on the road. I don't see why there aren't more. I live 45 minutes from some pretty decent roads in the mountains, and a few hours from the dragon. Too many damn I-4s around here for me. |

Jerseyguy...Axis is about a mile from my house...I drive by there all the time. When the ideas were going around here about making swingarm sliders from plastic wheels like skateboard wheels I kept meaning to go in. Looks like a cool place...there are always a bunch of kids around there. |

Lpowel02 - Stop in and ask for Rob - He's about 35, 5'6' with a shaved head. He is one of the coolest guys you will ever meet. There's an indoor half pipe inside his shop. We have wake and snowboarded together for many years. We met on a wakeboard BBS not unlike this one. He's got a dirt bike but he hasn't made it to the street yet. Tell him Steve Haynes sent you. |
