For anyone who goes against the norm and runs that XB at the track, post up your pictures and build details! I'm giving some serious thought to doing the same on my XB12R. Looking for some winter time inspiration! |

Would that not be a good job for "Google" ? https://www.google.com/search?q=buell+track+bike+p ictures&hl=en&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved= 2ahUKEwjWm-6AyvfeAhVFGDQIHbY7A7cQ7Al6BAgGEBs&biw=1 318&bih=656 Pretty simple really ! Mike |

What a great find - I'm going to bookmark www.google.com for future queries. Sure. I can look up information on Pinterest or any of those old for sale ads. What's missing are the details, trials, tribulations, and successes associated with each build. Thanks for reminding me why the other Buell forums exist. |

1324, Don't let him get to you. For every 1 smart ass there are 20 dudes that are able to resist the temptation and are more than willing to share their experiences. Cheers! |

1_mike, Go back and read the OP's original post. He isn't simply asking for photos. This will be an interesting thread so long as we can curb any flame war. Maybe a moderator can delete the useless portions once the thread gets running. Cheers! |

Hard to beat the Hal's performance advantage Pro Thunder/Formula extreme XB's For inspiration it's probably the best you can do. They were great to watch during the AMA days. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/158 664/14784.html?1255564745 http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/158 664/15025.html?1255100221 |

I track a couple xb's but there is nothing to show cause they are basically stock bikes. Best thing was to have a suspension guy adjusted it properly. |

Rsh, thanks for posting those two links. I didn't find them in my internet search and I didn't know where to look here. Good stuff. I'm definitely not looking to build a 1348 cc monster, but there are some things I'd love (ahem, quicker throttle response from less flywheel). Doz, Are you running 9's or 12's? I run a business specializing in suspension work, so I can get this thing to turn. Right now, my bike is bone stock...but not for long. Blast from the past, but my first track day ever was on a 2003 XB9S that I rode to/from Pocono Raceway back in 2007. I've owned an XB12S, XB12X, and 1125R since those days, but all of my track time over the past few years has been spent on Yamahas and Ducatis. Like most things, as time progresses, so do tastes and 'requirements'. My first few track days with that ZTL were OK. Now, I'm spoiled by Brembo M50s and the (very good) Yamaha monoblock Advics. My front brake has the typical pulsation, so I'm looking at either doing the EBR hardware kit and rotor or a dual disc swap. I'd prefer to do the former for cost reasons. But then that leads to a slipper clutch, chain drive, etc. The heart wants what the wallet can't have... Of course, I need to address other things like crash protection and ergonomics. Long dark days are here for the foreseeable future and it's high time to get this project started. |

9's, not yet tried a 12 but I do have one to "donate" if the re-build isn't too expensive. I putter around in the intermediate class for fun at NYST. Comment I get mostly: your pretty fast "on that thing" |

Oh, you're 'local'! I haven't run NYST in a couple years, but tend to hit up Pocono and NJMP with some regularity. I'm mid/high intermediate pack on my Multistrada. Maybe our paths will cross... |

Sounds like a plan. Tell me of this suspension wizardry you have.... (I've run both tracks at NJMP but prefer the NY countryside more) |

NYST is a superior track to NJMP...at least it was when I was there a few years ago. I've heard it's fallen apart in a few areas, but I haven't seen it with my own eyes. I'm mostly at Pocono these days since it's only 35 minutes from home. Really makes the day easier on the family. I run a small business doing mostly Yamaha work www.stoltecmoto.com. Website needs an overhaul, but you can get a flavor of what we do. |

The track has gotten better since they opened. True, its not as big as the others but I really like the elevation changes. Tight and technical is perfect for our Buells. |

It's a great track, lots to learn. I've only done a weekend there - downtown on Sat and uptown on Sunday. I need a few more weekends to really learn the lines. Lots of blind corners and crests. |
