So my XB9 did this to me a couple weeks ago and is sitting dead in the garage in pieces, while I'm still trying to sort it out. Tonight I got home and took the 1125 out and it's starting to do the same thing. A lot of popping and such when I let off the throttle and some stuttering when I twist it. With the XB I did plugs, wires, and rebuilt the fuel pump/filter/regulator unit. It still didn't get it running. On the 1125 I tried doing a TPS reset I saw on YouTube, to no avail. I'm still worried it may be a timing thing. I have approximately 14,000 miles on the '03 XB, and 16,000 on the '08 1125. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. |

Do both halves of the header get hot at idle? |

Maybe you put bad gas in both of them? Just a thought. |

I've been through the bad gas thing before, this seems different. It's also funny, I've notice when I get bad gas in the XB and fill the same in the 1125, usually the XB is the only one adversely affected. At least that's how it's been on several occasions when using both bikes with friends in rural areas. |
