2006 Uly exhaust valve actuator pooched. I was lucky enough to get one from a 2008. It looks the same, cycles properly when plugged in. All good except there is no bracket attached to hold the outer part of the actuator cable in place. On the 2006 the bracket is part of the casting of the top of the actuator case/housing. Anyone got a picture of the 2008 and later setup? It shouldn't be too hard to fabricate a bolt on out of metal except I am a complete klutz. Wondering if there is a more elegant solution. Such as switching the top part of the case/housingg. |

So pulled the old actuator apart to see if the cases are interchangeable. of course the bottom is, but the top, which is the part that has the bracket integral, has all the guts of the device firmly attached. So, no they are not interchangeable at least not practically. |

I can look tomorrow and see if I have some floating around the parts shelves. |

I posted this add-on on BW previously, but can't find it now. It is just a strip of aluminum with a U shaped hole at the end to match the diameter of the male part of the cable. (Message edited by ducbsa on July 11, 2018) |
