I have been wanting to "lighten" the pull on my 2003 XB9SL clutch pull action and came upon this product on Ebay. Question: have any of you ever used something like this? If so, do you have any thoughts/experiences regarding lightening the pull action?
The ebay link is:

thanks!

Dcentric, I ordered the part off of ebay that claims it will fit all Buell models. Wrong!! the XB's outer housing is too tight for the size of this part. It fit on the clutch shaft just fine, and was very easy to understand the physics of how it worked. But when you pull the lever it would hit the clutch housing. The part I bought was straight in shape. I have seen one listed on another Buell site that was curved, that one I believe would work. Don't remember the address though. The guy was very kind and prompted a quick refund. If you have access to a machine shop and could grind the thickness of the part down about 1/8 of an inch, it would work perfect, and the seller even told me to try it. But a Dremel isn't a good ideal. Hope that helps, JIM

Thanks for the input! i am often leery of the panacea product claims. It's good to have real world experiences with things like this.

thx, tim

I checked with my local dealer and was told they do make them , but if you are agressive in shifting you will break it. He has tried a few different manufactures and got the same result with all of them. As for grinding one to make it work on the bike ................... Guess that speaks for itself. If you have to modify an internal component to make it fit , your just asking for problems.
