At the risk of starting a battle... getting ready to put new shoes on my '07 Uly. Riding is 60% interstate/35% back road/5% dirt road. Any suggestions? Just saw add/review for the new Kenda Big Block, the reviewer liked them but I'm hesitant to go with a brand that I don't know well. |

Blake, Those are the ones. Looks like there might be other options about the same price. My bike came with Pirelli street tires which have been fine since I do mostly interstate/paved roads. was just wondering what the thoughts were on getting onto slightly more "dirty" tires. |

I would buy the tires suited worst conditions you'll be riding in. The TKC-80's are surprisingly good on the road considering what they look like, but if your riding percentages are right, I'd go with something a little more mellow. Pirelli MT60RS or Michelin Anakee's will probably be next for me. |

Those Kendas don't appear to come in the proper size rear. |

Check out Shinko 705s. I have used them on my Tiger since almost new. Good life, great traction paved or not, and reasonable price. The rear comes in a 170, but plenty of people have put that size on without issue. |

I've got a season on my Avon Trailriders and am very happy with the all around performance so far. The dual compound seems to be wearing well so far. And they come in the proper sizes for the Uly.

5 years on looking at limited rear tire options, The Shinko 705 170/60 rear is wearing, anyone run Kenda K678F 170/60B17? |
