Forgive me if this has been answered or is a silly question. I am still in the window shopping phase of my buell experience and had a question. The engine casings/covers on the 12R are a silver color and the 9R are black. I was wondering if those are just covers and if the black cover off a 9 would fit the 12? I probably am not using the right terminology Thanks | ||

They should be interchangeable, but they're not cheap! What you're referring to are the primary cover and the cam cover. | ||

Interchangeable at about $225/$235 for the Primary and not sure on the Cam cover. It would be cheaper to have the parts painted instead. | ||

You can find the black ones on ebay now and then. I paid 75 for a black primary. As soon as I get that one polished to put on my bike I will be selling my original black one. |
