Help please, have a 2004 XB12R which I have snapped off what looks like a threaded 90 degree fitting which connects the oil line from the oil cooler to the top of the main housing which the oil filter screws up to.I noticed oil leaking from around that fitting, it looked like it was thread so I went to give it a little tweek with a spanner and snapped it off. does anyone know if it is a threaded or not? Thanks |

This has some info http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/parts.asp?mc =1&jaar=2007&model=76A72CC3-B4E8-4D27-B72B-4A68E61 B165C&sid=796C6A99-14B0-4479-AAC0-EEF50BDD2B3F 81 Euro seems a bit high(!) There may be fittings with the right threads available that do the job for less or they might be available used from ebay. |

They look the same ,but a big change there is difference in thread size. Also between the years there are used different types and threads. |

1/8 pipe into motor, take it to any decent auto parts store and see what they have. |

"Does NZ go by english pipe threads?" For some reason, the metric gurus adopted BSP British Standard Pipe for pipe threads. Do you mean those threads or American NPT threads? An NZ hydraulic shop might have the fittings. |
