checking pics real carefully.. anyone else concerned bout movement of swingarm affecting oil lines?? I know they're high quality items,,but I can't seem to see where the extra length is for the movement of the arm!! Comments? Steve |

I noticed the new bike comes with an oil cooler. I thought Buell insists that there is no benefit of cooling the oil. I'll have to re-think getting a cooler for my M2. |

Glad someone is awake to catch my totally freaking wrong statement. Thanks Aaron. I rethunk and edited/corrected my silly goof. With all else remaining unchanged, a smaller rear sprocket would mean TALLER gearing, not shorter as I stupidly implied. stupidstupidstupid! Brad!!! Dangit, we need a final drive ratio! Sprocket tooth counts, diameters... someting! Blake (hittinghimselfrepeatedlyovertheheadwitholdphysicsbook) |

Final drive ratio is 2.4/1; primary is 1.68, about 10 percent shorter gearing than an X1. |

Hey Brad!! On page 2 of those gorgeous XB9R photos you state that "the bars feel just right." You mention being 6'1", so how about leg room? Did your knees fit easily within the indents in the frame? What's your inseam? Us tall guys with deposits at the local dealer gotta know. |

Thanks for settling the point Anon. Maybe this would make the straight line performance equivalent between both models? |

6800+10%=7480~7500 If we can get a race kit that revs to 8 grand... |

It would be nice Blake, but it would seem the policy in the past has been for the rev limit to be the same on either module. Re, Aarons work on ignition boxes. bighairyralph |

I am wondering how the fan under the seat will cool the rear cylinder. If it is supposed to cool the rear cylender. Draw thru or blow? Pretty trick either way. The Benelli Tornado has under the seat fans for the radiator. |

Interesting on the fuel capacity for both the XB and the V-rod, both have a 3.7 gallon capacity. Also the v-rod is just under 1200cc's, why was I thinking it was larger displacement than that. Why didn't they make the XB with at least a 5 gallon fuel capacity. Why am I stuck on noticing that both new bikes have the same size gas "tanks". And where is the gas tank on the v-rod? Oh well. Guess I'll look a little closer at the Buell and H-D web sites tonight and see what else I start to notice. Let's see, 3.7 gallons - .5 gallons safety factor = 3.2 gallons x probably 48mpg = 153.6 miles between gas stops on a long ride. A couple of my gas stops on the first half of my trip were in the 200-220 miles range. I wonder how hard it's going to be to increase the XB gas capacity. I still like the name Water Buffalo better than V-Rod. |

warp2 The XB has piston cooling jets, so the oil gets hotter...therefore the oil cooler. |

Hmmmm...I know that to be true, but can't find it in print anywhere. For the sake of your discussion, you may assume the presence of piston cooling jets. Court |

To those who have not done so today, take a moment and e-mail Jay and Donna. Let's keep up the support. www.swedishhospital.com Look for "Patient e-mail" in the menu on the left. Easy as pie. Court |

The Blast has piston cooling oil jets, according to the original CYCLE WORLD feature. But they were not shown in the service manual, which also was missing the OIL CIRCULATION DIAGRAM, probably to hide stuff that would turn up on the XB9R. |
