Go to their download site and see if got the latest version (2.70 for pc). The dongle is the most important thing since you can download the software for free. |

got mine today from daves. Hooked it up to my X1 after I installed a new TPS. Reset TPS with it and it looks like it worked. The tps reading is in degrees. The tack reading looked right on. I even reset the afv. Only thing is I didn't see where to read the afv before I reset it. Thanks Dave. Al |

After fooling around a bit with the software, I'm not so sure that the TPS setting is working properly. Just for kicks, I tried to reset the TPS while the throttle was set at the 5.5 degrees, and it remained at the same degree after the reset. It should have set to 0 degrees after pressing the TPS set prompt. No? Anyone else have tried that? |

when I reset tps after backing out the idle adj. the reading was .7 I was on the hortz slide bar screen. I switch over to the active settings screen and did a tps reset. returned to hortz slide screen and tps reading was now 0. last setting at 1050 rpm was 5.3 degrees. It looked like it worked. I am going to fool with it again on Sat. Al |

Would those of you that have used this product say that it is a must-have tool for XB owners? If I have one, I won't ever have to go to the dealer for a TPS reset, right? Thanks. Mike. |

Follow up. I asked how the TPS works & here's the reply from Technoresearch: When you do the TPS Reset, what you are resetting is a value that the TPS uses which is internal to the Microchip (EEPROM) of the ECM (Electronic Control Module). The TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) reading is correct and it will not change. So the test is doing what is suppose to do. We compare out tool to the tool used by Buell dealers, and there tool does the same thing. Regards Giamberto Scaccia Engineering Manager/Consultant Technoresearch Inc. |
