So I bought an 03 XB9SL last weekend, and finally was able to bring it home today. Initially I bought it for a fix n flip... but now I'm not so sure. The low seat height is very nice, and handles so well alsi, as it should. My main squeeze is a long frame XB12, so this feels just different enough that it may warrant keeping. | ||

I keep waiting for my finances, craigslist, and the stars to align so I can take on a project Buell... I wish this had happened to me. Hoping it does in the near future, my 1125 could use a little sister. | ||

Just happened to me last week......have a 2003 XB9R 14k. mi. with Ohlins rear/Racetech front, Race Pipe, ZTL2 with radial MC..... Bought it a year ago, paid $2800, put $4000 into it....dialed it in this summer, love it. I'm so hooked on these bikes, I've been scouring craigslist for a year to find another for my brother or my buddy who I used to race AMA 600 Supersport with.....and I did last week. 2005 XB9R with 24k mi. - pristine, woman owner (she worked in sales at a Harley dealer and dated one of the technicians.......$2,300....couldn't help myself...bought it. For what they are, these XBs are awesome ride. I've ridden a TZ250 and these are way more fun In a corner. |
