I have just purchased an 03 XB9S (due to pick up Saturday). I'm heading to the Isle of man TT in 2/3 weeks and need to take all my equipment over with me (tent, sleeping bag, etc..). I've have had a look around the internet but cant find a great deal on mounting boxes/panniers. I'm looking at using the soft panniers and box I already own and just making a mount on the back to hold it to the bike, has anyone got any measurements/ drawings or done this before? Without having the bike in front of me I'm a little stuck, id like to get a head start and have something before I pick the bike up. Any help would be much appreciated! |

Does it have the stock tail still on or is it chopped? I made a removable luggage rack from 8mm round stainless bar for my xb 12s And one from stainless pipe for my brothers 12s (removable to) |

Its a chopped tail. I don't suppose you did drawings? just measured straight off the bike? Have you got any pictures so I could get an idea of mounting points? |

Sids ,i did no drawings ,just build it with the bike. But made some pics for you to get the idea. The first luggage rack is 45cm long and on the smallest position 36cm and on the widest almost 60cm the second rack is 25cm wide and 20cm long and sticks 28cm behind the tail.

Brother, those are nice, thx for the pics, I discounted the XB9S in my search after the Uly (got a Dr650) cause there was no luggage options.. but now I might like to get one someday. |
