My throttle pos sensor is going bad . i bought a Napa tps 213 and it looks identical . my question is can i replace it without doing a "reset" ? has anyone bolted up a new tps and started the motor w/o doing a reset ? |

A tps reset on the 02/07 xb serie can only be done with ecm spy is my understanding! |

If (big if) you measured the closed voltage and wide open voltage, and were able to get the new one to sit at those same voltages without changing the throttle opening, then it might work. You really need to just use the electronic adjustment to make the computer happy, that requires a tool. |

IDS make a tool called CMI lite that you can use to reset your TPS. |
