Does anyone have a recommendation for Rear Sets for my XB9S? I am looking for something that is fully adjustable but not too expensive. I found the ones on American Sport Bike but $500 seams a little expensive. Recommendations and opinions of what's out there for the XB would be great. Thanks. |

I have the Freespirits adjustables and spent right about $500 on them. For a good set of rearsets, that is about right. Its not like an import bike where you are only replacing a small amount of metal for a small amount of billet, nope you are replacing the whole footpeg area in all of the sets. That is alot of metal to work. |

Maybe I will just have to stock my money away for a while. What is your opinion on those rear sets? |

For riding without the passenger pegs they are good. The heelgaurds are both small and more for decoration, but otherwise they are great. I can set them very aggressive for the trackday, then put them closer to a more normal position for street use. (pic in profile in case you haven't looked) My problem with them, if I have to run the passenger brackets, they cramp up my feet. I actually ran out of room since I spend 90% of my riding time on the balls of my feet. My heels end up hitting the passenger brackets. Working out ways to avoid it, and I need to figure out how the left side bracket itself got twisted, but other then that I am thinking of sending them out for powder coating while I have them off for repair. |

Sato's are awesome (the ones American Sport Bike sells.) See: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=32777&post=308908#POS T308908 Chris |

Wycked, Not meaning to hijack the thread but that is one way cool mod you've done to your bike. I'd love to see Buell come out with a Firebolt that had the Lightning ergos. (I prefer the Firebolt's half fairing and rear end but the Lightning's seating position.) WYD (~21 days and counting down!) |

Sorry to be an idiot, but what are "Rear Sets"? |

Footpegs in a more aggressive "rearset" race style foot position. |

Nope, these are a change in the riders footpeg position, not the passengers.
