I first installed the kit air filter and removed snorkel, ran the bike a bit until the muffler came. Installed muffler and ran bike some more. Ran fine. I then received the race kit ECM and 12 Airbox cover and installed both. Now I need to have the TPS recalibrated before riding. I started the bike, but wants to run only about 3,000 and above. Assume this is to be expected without a recalibration. My question: Would you recommend having the TPS recalibration done with the stock 9 airbox cover installed and later try the 12 airbox to see if I can feel a difference? To me it seems I should take it in with the 12 airbox, but this is my first Buell experience and I appreciate all suggestions. |

The ECM don't care what box top you have. It'll adjust. The recalibration is so your new one will know where zero is. |

shorty in your case you do need to recalibrate the race ecm. i got lucky with mine: it started, idled and ran right out of the box. once it is set to your throttle position sensor, you should not need to mess with it for a long time, 10000 miles or so. |
