I can pick up an 05 XB12R (18k) that was "laid down" "swing arm is broke and the shifter, other scuffs".. have not seen it yet tho.. are the parts valuable and do they sell on ebay or here? I'd need to get my money back and make a small profit but don't want to do it if my garage will be full of Buell parts.. I already have way to much Guzzi stuff left over from part outs. or should I fix it as a 2nd Buell in my space? I hope you don't bigfoot me but here is the ad http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/csw/mcy/50743797 13.html |

If the prices are reasonable, used Buell parts sell very well (both on e bay and on forums). I think the price for that bike is great regardless of whether you part it out or repair. |

If it's close enough to you that you can go inspect it and carry it home then go for it. Looks like enough there to break even then get a little extra. Just have to realize, as you've already found out, that you won't be able to pick it down to the bone. There will be a lot of misc. parts that may take forever or never sell. |

Few people on ebay check into the dealerships to even know what parts should cost - hence, I have often seen Buell parts posted at reasonable to accurate prices, only to be bid up sometimes several times over value. Not to say that you'll have the same luck. It's just amazing to watch sometimes. |

FOTO: I saw it too. By coincidence I happen to have a spare swing arm laying around. ( I just picked up Hitowers ULY one for a potential mutant conversion) I now have a spare late model regular XB swing with no plans to use it. I was considering picking this one up to flip. Unless the madness sets in and I have to keep it. Fortunately, lack of funds prevented me from jumping on it. If you do pick it up to part, I would be interested in some of the parts, if you pick it up to fix, I have a swing. if you need a partner in the endeavor I'm listening. |

My guess he low sided it into something. I would think if it flipped, the bars and fairing would be thrashed too. |
