I recently acquired a second xb (2005 xb12s) and I was wondering if anyone has done what I'm attempting. I've found the active muffler control and fan offsets in the eeprom, but want to modify the parameters in when they are active. I'm sure it will take some playing around but for the active muffler, I want the valve to stay open under WOT like normal, but also want it open at idle, but not act as it normally would during cruising. I appreciate all input! |

I believe you can do that with TunerPro, I'd have to fire it up and see but I recall seeing a map for it on there. |

And I believe it can be done on ecmspy as well, I just don't know what to change values to in order to make it work how I want. |

In ECMSpy for Mono, it's easy as everything is on one page. In Tunerpro, the valve switching points are configurable in the table "Array: Active Muffler Valve Switching Points". If your .xdf only shows 5 RPM points, then you need to fix the xdf to show 6. The flag fields under "Active Muffler Control Configuration" can change the default behavior, such as whether or not the exhaust valve will be opened or closed at the first switching point.
