i have a 2008 firebolt xb12r.I know this is going to be a long shot due to ebr closing it doors but dose anyone know where I can get a race ecm. My check engine light is on and reading code 21 (exhaust valve) it's now coming on after 7 years later with out the stock pipe, i putt a D&D on it or if i just put the stock pipe back on will the check engine light go off? or if anyone know how to just clear the code. |

The code is coming on because the actuator has failed, putting the stock exhaust back on will not fix the issue. You have three options: Repair/replace the actuator Get the Servo Emulator (American Sport Bike used to sell it, not sure who currently does) Use TunerPro to turn the error off Repair/replace the actuator - You can buy the actuator for $200 new from a Buell dealer or American Sport Bike. You can find used ones here in the classifieds or on eBay, prices will vary. I've seen threads where people have repaired their actuator, depending on what the original failure is. Get the Servo Emulator - The emulator is a device that plugs into the wiring harness where the actuator should be, and fools the ECM into thinking everything is OK. American Sport Bike used to sell it, I don't see it on their website anymore. Use TunerPro to turn the error off - TunerPro is a program you can download, and with a ECM interface cable you can use to alter your ECM including remapping it to match your exhaust (you are risking engine damage with the stock program). Everything can be changed including how the idle is handled, fan operation, and you can disable the error code for the actuator. I personally recommend the 3rd option, you could effectively turn your stock ECM into a Race ECM if you found the right programming. |

Not really an answer to your question but i have a Drummer SS can for an 09 xb12r I need to get rid of along with EBR ECM. I purchased a twin motorcycles titanium header, torque hammer exhaust and ecu reflash so i have no use for it anymore. I have the can which has about 2000 miles on it with the core upgrade, i also have the chin fairing brackst that i got powder coated and never installed along with the ECM. I have had 0 problems with this setup i just wanted at TI header. Let me know if you are interested. |

Just throwing it out there... I got a used (but still good and functional) American Sport Bike Servo Emulator that I used on my '08 XB12XT for a while. Once I got the EBR ECM, I no longer needed it. I have no use for it and will gladly sell it - once I find it that is... PM me if you're interested, 1313 |

The servo emulator is nothing more than a connector with a 120ohm resister in it to fool the ECM into thinking the servo is still there. You could make one up pretty easily if American Sport Bike doesn't have them anymore |

I think I am experiencing the same problem. Am I reading my error code correctly? Here is a video I took: https://youtu.be/3TeSea04y4Y |
